The ‘Kate effect’ has swept the nation this year. Every time the Duchess of Cambridge appears in a highstreet label, the item sells out in double quick time.

Christmas is a busy time for the Royal family and having wed Prince William earlier in the year, 2011 saw Kate Middleton join the Royal family for her very first Christmas at Sandringham. Of course, any public appearance she made meant that all eyes would be on her and what she was wearing. The Duchess had already revealed that she would change five times during the Christmas celebrations, but unfortunately it hasn’t been revealed exactly what she was wearing on the big day.
