Street Style: Casual Florals As Seen On Tara

Submitted by on Wednesday, 4 August 2010 | No Comment

Florals are always such a big trend, year in, year out, which makes it difficult to stand out from the crowd. I spotted Tara sporting a gorgeous floral jacket, which is something I rarely see. Usually our high streets our a wash with ditsy print dresses, so this really stood out for me. I love the colours especially, which aren’t too bright to take the jacket from summer through to the colder months. I also adore the striped lining on the turned up sleeves, and the baby blue pashmina scarf. The denim jeans keep the look nice and casual, with the addition of a gorgeous tan bag and  some summery sandals. For me this is a perfect ensemble for a hard day shopping!

Tara wears a floral jacket by Jack Wills, a scarf bought in India, Jeans from Ebay and a Bag by Longchamp.

To recreate her look, tuck a neutral coloured camisole into a pair of skinny or straight jeans. Add on a floral jacket or blazer and a contrasting pashmina scarf. Pashminas are great pieces to own. They are perfect for summer as a quick cover up, or for the beach used as a sarong, but are great used as scarves when it gets chillier too. Team your outfit with tan accessories including strappy gladiator style sandals and a large tote bag to keep the look relaxed.

To take the look into the evening, or to simply dress the outfit up, go for a grey toned camisole and pashmina scarf. Swap the blue denim skinnies for a smart black pair and keep accessories black also. Go for a compact clutch bag and team with black platform court shoes. Stack on a few silver bangles for a touch of glitz, and you have the perfect look for an important interview, date or drinks!
