Kate Middleton has been somewhat out of the spotlight during the past couple of weeks, so it’s a real treat for us to spot her out and about in public, twice in one week. As well as a bit of shopping in Topshop in Kensington, London, the Duchess of Cambridge has also been fulfilling her Royal duties with a visit to the The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.

Along with her husband, Prince William, Kate opened the Oak Centre for Children and Young People. They were also given a tour of the new unit, where they met staff and patients and Prince William unveiled a special plaque to commemorate the occasion.

Kate looked suitably stylish for the occasion in a simple Amanda Wakeley Sculpted Felt Long Sleeved dress, which she purchased for £450 at the designer’s Fulham Road store. Kate accessorised the dress with her favourite pair of LK Bennett Sledge2 Pumps, Natalie clutch bag and Kiki McDonough Grace Earrings.

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is one of the worlds leading cancer care centres that specialises in cancer diagnosis, treatment, research and education. The trust is very important to the Royal couple as Prince William is the hospital’s president, while his later mother, Princess Diana, was a patron of the hospital. The Amanda Wakeley dress, as worn by Kate, may have been quite the savvy fashion choice as the designer is a fundraiser for the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer scheme.
