Royal Baby News: Baby’s First Swaddle Blanket Sells Out!

As everyone celebrates the birth of the royal baby, many are desperate to get their hands on his first blanket!

Just about everyone has been obsessed with the news of the royal baby, but how extreme is the obsession? ‘The Kate Effect’ is very much real and it’s coming to a royal baby fanatic near you! Kate & William chose a swaddle blanket from ‘aden + anais’, a US-based company to carry their newborn in. The snuggly, 100% cotton wrap has an adorable bird print and makes a great first choice for the baby’s blanket.

“We are truly grateful and so delighted that the couple chose to debut the prince in aden + anais, it is such an honour!” aden + anais founder Raegan Moya-Jones told The Telegraph . “We wish the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge many congratulations on the birth of their son.”

Although the blanket is from a US company, it is available in Selfridges and John Lewis and online in a set of 4 for £44.95. However, you may find some trouble getting your hands on one seeing as the product is “currently on back-order”, as the store’s website states.

Blankets, Dresses, Carseats… The List is Endless!

The blanket is clearly not the only thing flying off the shelves as we know Kate’s polka dot dress made the Jenny Packham site crash from such high floods of traffic. Clearly, everything Kate and William do from now on will be aspirational (not to forget, extremely profitable for the companies they choose to honour!).

In addition, we all saw William fixing a carseat into his car to carry away his precious son from the hospital. You guessed it, the same carseat is a must have now! Britax’s Baby-Safe Infant Carrier was their first choice and it costs £80.

The Royal Baby Emerges!

“As a British brand the leader in child travel safety, we are delighted and honoured to hear that the Prince of Cambridge could be making his first journey in one of our infant carriers,” said Britax’s European Managing Director.

“The integral cushion allows your baby to lie in a more natural comfortable position.”

I wonder what will be the next must-have…
