That’s right, British fashion designer Stella McCartney is in charge of dressing the athletes for the 2012 Olympics.  She has been given the role of Adidas’ creative director where she will design Great Britain’s collection of sports gear for the Olympic and Paralympic teams.

She seemed to be the obvious choice as the talented designer has been designing sportswear for five years with her label ‘Adidas by Stella McCartney’.  Talking about her new project, Stella said: “As a British fashion designer it is an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be creative director of Team GB as the hosting nation of the London 2012 Olympic Games.”

So what should we expect from this range?

Well at the moment this is a well-kept fashion secret but what we do know is that you’ll be able to buy part of Stella’s fan wear range!  You will have the chance to choose some very stylish sportswear, resembling a similar style to what our British athletes will be wearing.

The fan wear range will be available in autumn.
