Since her spectacular win at the Olympics last year, Jessica Ennis won the hearts of the British public, not only for her great athletic ability but her quietly confident personality and the girl next door looks. She has made it no secret that she was planning to marry her childhood sweetheart Andy Hill since her win but has been putting things on hold until she finished at the Olympics.

After a long wait for the British Athlete, this weekend she tied the knot! In an intimate Derbyshire ceremony, the couple said their vows at St Michael and All Angels Church in Hathersage on Saturday.

Like with any celebrity we are always interested in what they are wearing and we weren’t disappointed with Miss Ennis or should we say Mrs Hill. Jessica Ennis look stunning as she walked down the isle wearing a romantic ivory Monique Lhuillier gown with a sleeveless wrap bodice. The skirt had ruffles all around it and looked amazing. To finish the look she wore a floor length veil and left her hair elegantly up with her fringe sweeping to the side. Her make up was naturally done to not overpower her and the gorgeous dress.

She walked down the isle carrying a bouquet of cream and pink roses and made the guest sing hymns of Love Divine and To God Be The Glory.  The newlyweds emerged from the church to the Beatles classic, All You Need Is Love.

The 27-year-old had kept resolutely silent about the designer behind her fairytale dress, though this morning London boutique Browns Bride tweeted “Congratulations to Jessica Ennis who married this weekend and looked stunning in @M_Lhuillier at Browns Bride”, giving the secret away.
