Lea Michele’s sweet nature both on and off the screen is perhaps the reason that she’s scored a brand new advertising campaign deal as the new face of Candies apparel.

The Glee actress has taken over from previous teen star Vanessa Hudgens and poses in the brand’s new Spring 2012 campaign. Talking to PEOPLE about the new collaboration with Candies, the actress couldn’t contain her excitement, saying; “It’s amazing, such an honor. Candie’s is such an iconic brand. The apparel is so adorable as well as affordable — and who doesn’t love that?”

The new campaign is titled ‘Hangin At Home’ and sees Lea Michele doing just that in a variety of relaxed, comfortable and colourful images. The photoshoot took place in a private residence in Beverly Hills and was shot by photographer Yu Tsai.

Talking of their choice of actress for the campaign, Iconix chief marketing officer Dari Marder said: “Everyone is obsessed with Glee, especially Lea Michele, and so are we. Although for Michele, the fun of the campaign is putting her Glee-ful side away.”

The campaign will officially launch in March 2012, with images appearing in top magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Seventeen and Teen Vogue.
