Biker Jacket
The must have item to rock the Biker look is the iconic leather Biker jacket. Ditch the Aviator jacket from last season, and go for a more fitted option with defined lapels. For extra detail, opt for one with a studded collar that will work in a more glamorous look. Long sleeves can be rolled up for a relaxed feel, and cropped styles work well with a contrasting dress. Black is the typical Biker colour, but for something softer go for a nude or white option that will be more wearable in the warmer weather.
Short Sleeved Jacket
For something geared more towards the summer months, there are sleeveless versions of the Biker jacket available. Think waistcoats with an edge – these are great for layering over dresses or tunics when you want to show off your arms. If you still want a sleeve, go for one with a short sleeve or cap sleeve that are flattering on broad shoulders and still show off some flesh!
Racer Back Vest
To break up the leather, wear one of these loose racer back vests. Go for something that finishes mid thigh for more of a feminine feel, or opt for a shorter version teamed with leather leggings for an edgier feel. The loose feel to these simple summer basics will soften the harsh leather and keep you cool in the sun. Simple block colours will keep the look crisp, and patterned versions add a fun twist.
Leather Look Leggings
The ultimate in Biker cool, these are the perfect item to wear if you want to keep your look simple and fuss free. They work perfectly teamed with the racer back vests as seen above, and can easily be dressed up or down. For a full on statement go for a shiny leather pair and wear with simple pieces, or more of a muted look, opt for a matte finish.
Colourful Belts
If you’re not quite ready to embrace all the leather and studs, start off by experimenting with one of these belts. They can be worn over dresses or with high waisted jeans and shorts for a fun twist. Â Accessorise with a bright waist belt to cinch in and create curves. For double the leather, layer one of these over a Biker jacket for a complete clash of colours, or simply team one with a basic white tunic for a laid back, summery feel.
Killer Heels
To complete your Biker look, finish off with a pair of statement heels. Go for peep toes and show off bright painted nails for a contrast. Look for a pair with edgy detail such as cage effect platforms or zips and studs for a strong look. For a more feminine twist, go for pale colours as with the jackets such as nude as these will work better with softer outfits.
