Alice in Wonderland Jewellery by Sian Bostwick

Alice in Wonderland themed make-up and jewellery was all over the high street last season, as my fellow writer Cherry wrote about here, thanks to Tim Burton’s adaptation of the classic story.

Even as I type, I have OPI’s bling-tastic Mad as Hatter gracing my nails, which is enough proof to me that Alice-themed stuff is still pretty hot. The only problem is that a lot of Alice-themed jewellery can look a bit cheesy…

Enter Sian Bostwick. A jeweller whose pieces are inspired by ‘illustration, fairytales, myths and dreamscapes to create both high impact and commercial pieces with quirky, individual, dreamy and playful feel’ take inspiration from the original Alice tale.

These pieces are such an appealing combination of playful femininity and darkness, the result being beautiful without being ‘adorable’. Here are a few favourites:

From top to bottom; Silver Heart necklace £185, Red Enamel Heart necklace £185, Silver and Murano Heart necklace £35, and Silver and Pearl Heart necklace £185.

Check out her website, http://www.sianbostwick.co.uk/ to see the ‘Wonderland’ collection in all its glory. Prices range from £35  to £185. Personally, I have fallen in love with the almost gothic-looking red enamel heart pictured and will be placing an order soon.

The beauty of this range is that despite Tim Burton-induced Alice hysteria, these pieces will never look dated, and will add a little bit of classy whimsy to an outfit…something which can be pretty hard to achieve!

Hi Rori! These are coooOool.I got my sister one of the actual Swarovski pieces which was in association with the film. It was slightly quirky, but also a bit disturbing. It was the cat character in crystals. lol.
