Fat Face Carrot Denim Jeans: Review

Fat Face is one of the leading designers in mens, womens and childrens clothing for those who have an active lifestyle. It is fast becoming an expanding and popular brand on the highstreet, currently rivalling lifestyle clothing chain Animal.

Fat Face is a mecca for skiers, surfers and generally active people, so being somewhat of a skinny jeans kind of girl, I was keen to try some jeans that didn’t restrict the blood flow to my legs.

The Carrot Denim jeans, £55, have a relaxed and casual look to them. They come in a faded denim with a washed out effect on the front. The jeans have the perfect slouchy, boyfriend fit and are perfect for lazing around the house in or wearing as with a cool pair of pumps and a checkered shirt for a surfer-esque, tried but it doesn’t look like you’ve tried, style.

For those girls that aren’t into skinny jeans, these jeans are a great investment and the boyfriend fit is right on trend and is seen in many highstreet stores. The jeans are great if, like me, you want to try a new look.

If like me you find many jeans too big around the waist or you just generally don’t feel like going for the ‘baggy’ look then the jeans come with a handy tab on the back that you can pull to make the waist size smaller.

For a size 8, regular pair of jeans these were more than baggy, I would say they are realistically more like a size 10, even with the waist made smaller. Not everybody who is a size 8 has super long legs either and the jeans are only available online in a leg length 32″ or 34″ which is no good at all for the likes of me. They look fine rolled up but I wouldn’t want to wear them that way all the time. For me, this is a major let down and would completely stop me buying the jeans myself.

If you are one of those lucky size 8 girls with super long legs then these jeans will be great for you. They give a very casual look and can be teamed with a cool tshirt as well as the checkered shirt suggested earlier. You could also team a cool pair of flip flops or sandals with them and make your way down to the seaside. The £55 price tag is quite reasonable for a pair of investment jeans.

The jeans will last for years so you can get some good wear out of them and really get your moneys worth. The jeans are available to purchase in store or online
