The 2011 Emmy Awards, held at The Nokia Theatre L.A, was once again, a star studded event, full of beautiful celebrities and their even more beautiful designer outfits. Hosted by Glee’s Jane Lynch, who kept the witty one-liners and jokes coming thick and fast, the ceremony was one that won’t be forgotten in a while.

We’re not ones to miss out on a red carpet event, so we’ve decided to bring you the best looks from the night and first up is actress Emily Blunt who led the fashion pack in a stunning floor-length Elie Saab gown. Representing the Brits on the red carpet, Emily’s midnight blue tulle gown, taken from the Fall 2011 Collection, looked utterly gorgeous with it’s plunging neckline and sequin embroidered detail. She accessorized the outfit with a Kelly Locke clutch bag and simple ‘up-do’.

Someone else who opted for blue on the red carpet was Katie Holmes and Glee star Dianna Agron. Katie Holme’s opted for a sporty fit Calvin Klein Collection dress which was cinched in at the waist with a thin silver belt. She wore a simple pair of Pierre Hardy heels and styled her hair in a chic top knot. Dianna Agron chose a gorgeous Indigo Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2011 silk dress which was tied at the waist and draped perfectly over the actress’ slender frame. Her look was extremely demure and sophisticated and she really sparkled on the red carpet with the help of some diamond earrings and matching bracelet.

Kelly Osbourne was another star that really wowed on the red carpet. Since her dramatic weight loss and complete make-over, the TV presenter and model has been looking better than ever. She looked healthy and happy in a figure hugging crimson gown by J Mendel, but it wasn’t all partying for Kelly that night as she had to get back to work reporting on the event alongside Giuliana Rancic for E! News.

Evan Rachel Wood is another stand out celebrity from the event. Like Emily Blunt, Evan decided on an Elie Saab Fall 2011 gown in black embroidered material. Her old-school Hollywood style looked super glamorous on the red carpet and the gown, with it’s structured cap sleeves and exposed back, complimented the actress perfectly. She teamed the perfect dress with black satin peep-toe Salvatore Ferragamo heels, metal cuff and matching Judith Leiber clutch bag.

Although there were a whole host of fashion hits, it was really the celebs that wore red gowns to the event that really ticked all the fashion boxes. Kate Winslet took the lead in a red Elie Saab Resort 2012 with capped sleeves and v-neck, which did wonders for her figure. She accessorized with a gold clutch bag and silver jewellery. Following her lead was Sofia Vergara who wore a coral/red custom Vera Wang gown with elegant chiffon draping and small train. She added a pair of eye-popping statement earrings complete with green jewels and a stack of gold bangles.

It was Glee star Lea Michele who really rocked the red look at the event with a Marchesa gown with cowl back and rosette details. The floor length gown looked great on the actress, who accessorized with a statement cocktail ring and red Roger Vivier heels. Nina Dobrev was another celeb who served up a dazzling red look in the form of a Donna Karan Resort 2012 strapless bustier gown, teamed with a Neil Lane choker necklace and clutch bag.
