For any couple, going overseas is an exciting experience but the pressure is really on for the newly married Prince William and Kate Middleton as they took off for Canada on Thursday afternoon for their first overseas tour as a married couple.

The pair arrived at Heathrow airport on Thursday ready to board the Royal Canadian Air Force aircraft. Of course, ever the elegant lady, Kate was spotted in a Roland Mouret Manon silk and cotton-blend dress and a gold buttoned Smythe blazer worth £579. The Duchess of Cambridge accessorised her outfit with a Mulberry Polly Push lock shoulder bag and navy blue pumps. William wore a suit of a matching navy colour and a red tie.

The couple’s tour will last 11 days and take them across Canada and on to California and it has been rumoured that Kate has hired a personal shopper from London department store Selfridges, to help her look her best during the trip. We’re expecting a lot more outfits like this one, that really show off Kate’s lady-like status.

Kate wore her newly blow-dried hair down in loose curls and it has also been rumoured that she will be taking hairdresser James Pryce along on the trip with her to keep her looking her best.
