Manolo Blahnik and Christian Louboutin to star in ‘God Save Our Shoes’ fashion documentary.
One brand is well known as being the go-to shoe for Sex and the City character Carrie Bradshaw and the other is known for it’s devious red sole alone and being the favourite shoe for a whole host of celebrities. Now the two brands and their designers are set to come together and appear in a brand new fashion documentary titled ‘God Save Our Shoes.’
The documentary, directed by Julie Benasra, is set to debut at Paris Fashion Week this September as well as appearing on French channel, Canal Plus TV and will follow a handful of the world’s top shoe designers including Blahnik and Louboutin. Viewers can expect to see a fascinating insight into the legendary designers as well as cameos from lovers of the shoe brands, Dita Von Teese and Kelly Rowland.
The documentary’s director told WWD: “Manolo’s bustling energy was something, [and] seeing Christian Louboutin designing a shoe from beginning to end was quite exhilarating.”
“Shoes are the one accessory that crystalizes desire, compulsive behavior and sometimes obsession,†said producer Thierry Daher.
