If you’re planning on attending a festival this summer, there’s one thing you need to think hard about and that’s you’re festival essentials. We’re not talking about baby wipes and bottles of water, we’re talking fashion essentials. Festivals are no longer all about the music, but the fashionistas that are always spotted looking completely stylish in the hot, sticky weather.

Your number one essential of course is a pair of Wellies! Nobody wants to wear those horrible basic green wellies anymore so we’re extremely thankful that the likes of Topshop have given wellies a fashionable make-over.

Wellies

The Blue Stripe Wellies by Joules will look fab with anything you throw on, especially hot pants and a cute vest. Of course, these wellies are there to do an important job and they’ll definitely keep your feet dry if it does rain! These fun Nautical wellies are priced at £35 which is quite reasonable as you’ll definitely get your moneys worth if you regularly attend festivals.

Handbag

Fringing is huge right now and you’ll definitely need a stylish bag to keep all your basics in when you’re enjoying the shows. The Asos Premium Leather Tassel Messenger Bag has been reduced to just £30. It’ll keep all of your belongings safe and you can even sling it over your head/shoulder for extra safety. The colour is amazing and you can continue to use it long after the festival season.

Hat

A fabulous hat is a huge must have Festival item and there are so many different styles and colours to choose from. Trilbys are great for the stylish festival look. Team the Trilby with a cool vest top, hotpant shorts and gladiator sandals for a laid-back style or even try wearing it with a cool summer dress. Ditsy floral Trilbys are ultra cute and a great alternative to the common tan/wicker hats.

Sunglasses

Last but not least is the sunglasses! The ultimate stylish festival accessory that comes in a huge range of colours, sizes and brands. The most popular of course is the aviator which is always seen on festival goers. Vintage, kitsch and 50’s and 60’s style sunglasses are another huge trend right now and New Look have a great range available! We love the Rounde 60’s Style Sunglasses for just £4.99.

When your bags and tent are all packed and ready to go, remember your fashion essentials as they are not only practical, but will make you look fab amongst the other sweaty, tired revellers!
