Kanye West

After not making it into London’s Central Saint Martin’s College as a fashion student, this hip-hop slash designer is not giving up there.

Taking further inspiration from his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye West has teamed up with French designers to create a line of silk scarves.

Continuing with the theme of artistic imagery on his album cover and throughout the album’s booklet, Kanye hopes to see these images being brought to life on stylish and vintage looking material for fans to have as accessorised neckwear.

Duo Mathias Augustyniak and Michael Amzalag (M/M Paris) are all systems go on this new range of scarves, with this project being a great chance for them to expand on their original creativity of baroque-style letters, with images re-enacting American artist George Condo’s art work, that fans first saw featured on Mr West’s disc.

Each scarf will each be a square metre long and because it is a limited range, only 50 of each design (five) will be sold this season at mmparis.com.

If you fancy yourself as a fan of Mr West’s designs, then why not try your luck at purchasing one of these collector’s items for your wardrobe?
