‘The Glory of Water’ Exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld: Top 3 Best Dressed Celebrities
Fendi held an opening party in Paris for their new store, which was followed by Karl Lagerfeld’s exhibition preview ‘The Glory of Water.’
Karl Lagerfeld has worked with Fendi since 1965. His exhibition included images shot by himself projected inside a domed structure alongside the banks of the Seine; very high-tech and futuristic. The event was peppered by high-profile celebrities, who flocked to see the photographic exhibition of fountains in Rome, as well as a restored fashion reel that in 1977 served as the launch to Fendi’s first ready-to-wear collection.
Of course any event Karl Lagerfeld puts on will be a stylish affair, and apart from his usual black suited attire with statement sunglasses, there were many a stylish celebrity in attendance. I take at look at my top three:
3. Naomie Harris
Actress Naomie Harris wore a structured Fendi cocktail dress with dramatic peplum and centre split. The dress was textured with a high neck and capped sleeve: a definite statement piece. She kept her look monochrome and striking with chunky, black shoe boots and a black boxy clutch. She kept her hair and make-up simple, with fresh, natural make-up and a sleek parting with a ponytail.
2. Melissa George
Australian actress Melissa George sported a stunning, oversized monochrome coat, black with a white trim, looking effortlessly chic. She kept the look monochrome with a white clutch and black and white strappy shoes. The shoes had a chunky, white studded heel which added a quirky twist on the look and pushed her up in the style stakes. Her hair and make-up added a touch of glamour, with a strong smoky eye and blush lipstick with loose curls in her hair.
1. Rose McGowan
American actress and singer Rose McGowan earns the top spot on one merit alone: the dress. With a daring, plunging neckline on the black, body con dress, Rose McGowan wowed while keeping it sophisticated with an over-the-knee hemline. She wore black eyeliner flicks with a pink lip and an up-do with a quiff to add some retro glamour to the outfit, while still showcasing that incredible dress (and body may I say). She wore simple black heeled sandals and a boxy black and white clutch to complete our trio of monochrome lovelies.
