The Highstreet’s Best Heeled Trainers.

There used to be a time when girls would be seen wearing heels for a glamorous night out, and trainers for a casual day look but now we can mix the two with the latest trend to hit the British highstreet – heeled trainers. They may sound a little strange but blending the style of the converse trainer with the glamour of the high heel means that these shoes are possibly the most stylish and the comfiest heels you’ll ever wear. Here are some of the best from the highstreet.

New Look have some really great versions of the heeled trainer. Their prices start from just £20 which is very reasonable for the plain coloured versions, while the slightly more funky versions are still just £30.

Asos.com have a great collection of heeled trainers in their designer outlet section of their website, ranging from the popular ‘canvas pump’ to a slightly more glamorous. Prices start from £70 to £145, but their collection does include the Alexander McQueen for Puma Elevate Heeled Trainers.

Topshop have a great range of wedged ‘skater boots’ by Unique in their collection at the top end of the price range – £150. The leather lace up boots include a velcro strap for the child in us as well as a wooden wedge heel. They come in Mint or Blush colours.

Heeled trainers are available from many shops across the high street and if you’re looking for slightly cheaper versions then head to H&M and Primark. The trend launched last year in 2009 but it has taken until now for them to really catch on. Victoria Beckham has even been spotted wearing a pair of wedge heeled trainers.
