British actress, Emily Blunt has been steadily growing in success ever since her performance in the popular Devil Wears Prada film in 2006. Since then she has starred in a number of great roles, including The Young Victoria, Gulliver’s Travels and most recently, Gnomeo and Juliet; and as many celebrities profiles grow, so does the surrounding industry’s interest in them…

Prestigious brand, Yves Saint Laurent have declared their love for the English beauty and have snapped her up to be the face and ambassador of their iconic ‘Opium’ fragrance. The television campaign, shot by Romain Gavras, features Emily coming face to face with a leopard and will debut in October. The campaign will also be accompanied by print images, shot by Patrick Demarchelier.

Emily is said to be ‘honoured’ about the collaboration with YSL. “It is a really exciting experience to embody this legendary fragrance, which has stood the test of time,” she shared. “Being a part of this new campaign and being able to tell the story of this very evocative fragrance is a real thrill.”

In a statement following the news, YSL president Renaud de Lesquen said: “She quite obviously embodies who we feel to be today’s Opium woman,” and we certainly agree as we can’t get enough of the lovely Emily Blunt and think she is the perfect person for the new campaign.
