Blogger Style: Monica From ‘Monicabarleycorn’

Today’s Style Crush comes in the form of the oh-so-sweet Monica, a seventeen year old student from the UK. She writes the blog ‘Monicabarleycorn‘, a fashion and style diary featuring her own personal outfits and wish lists. Monica’s style is a mix of cute, girly and eclectic, with a range of high street and vintage pieces, many found on eBay!

She has challenged Style Clone to recreate this outfit that was posted recently here. This look is perfect for the coming Spring months, with its dusky pink sheer blouse teamed with a ruffled ballerina inspired skirt and knee high socks. The brogues and pocket watch necklace add a classic twist to this cute ensemble.

Monica wears a blouse and skinny belt from Primark, a skirt, over-the-knee sockas and a necklace by New Look, brogues by F&F at Tesco and a vintage bag.

To recreate this look, start off with a mini skirt with lots of layers and volume, and tuck in a romantic blouse in a dusky shade of pink. Pull on some knee high socks in black, and add on a pair of masculine brogues in the same colour. Cinch in the waist with a tan coloured skinny belt, and wear a statement pendant like Monica’s stopwatch. Finish the look off with a tapestry bag for a vintage feel, and there you have it! A great little outfit for Spring!

If you like Monica’s style and want to see plenty more look like this, be sure to take a look at her blog, ‘Monicabarleycorn‘ for regular posts.
