On Saturday 11th June, Pop Princess Lily Allen married her fiancée Sam Cooper at St James the Great Church in Cranham.

Although the ceremony wasn’t as lavish as another certain princesses, all eyes were on Lily and her vintage wedding gown. Not long ago, rumours circulated that Lily would be wearing a vintage Chanel wedding dress after she was spotted at the Chanel head-quarters, asking after Karl Lagerfeld, for her wedding dress. It seems it was a clever ploy by Lily to put everyone off the scent as she appeared from her wedding car wearing a vintage inspired dress by Delphine Manivet.

The lace dress included an empire waist line and sheer, three-quarter length sleeves adorned with lace. Lily wore a 1920’s style veil that was made in Calais, with silk tulle and pulled a one-metre long train behind her. The dress also consisted of an underdress, covered by a second lace dress. Lily wore white platform heels and carried two knitted cricket puppets dangling from her bouquet which tied in with the cricket tea wedding reception at Lily and Sam’s 17th Century home.

With the dress’ empire line, Lily showed off a small stomach under the dress which led to rumours of another pregnancy. These rumours were quickly confirmed at the wedding reception and they revealed that Lily is 16 weeks gone.

Speaking of the dress, Mme Manivet, who designed the gown in paris, said: “It’s beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. She is very happy about that – it is something wonderful. You can see of course the little stomach – it looked very cute with the dress.”
