45699, NEW YORK, NEW YORK - Monday October 4, 2010. Kim and Kourtney Kardashian take their reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians NYC! The stylish sisters check out a store with a real estate agent in SoHo. The girls, garnering a lot of attention wherever they went, are seen leaving a store with none other than Kanye West following right behind them! Salma Hayek and Kourtney Kardashian have been the subject of much press lately and it’s all down to their outgoing dress sense; or rather one accessory in particular.  The turban has been re-invented as a fashion statement with styles ranging from diamante studs to the original chequered print design.

The head-scarves have been designed as a stylish alternative to hats, especially with this cold weather coming our way and apart from a few negative remarks from some critics, this turban trend is set to become an autumn highlight!

In response to the mixed views against her, Kourtney said: “Everyone’s hating my turban look… just having a little fashion fun in New York!  It’s not that serious.”

But what do you think about this.  Is the design a little too close to the religious head-piece of certain cultures?  Or is it a harmless expression within the fashion world?

We’ll let you decide.
