Jessica Alba Spotted at CFDA Awards wearing Diane Von Furstenberg Dress: Get The Look
Every girl dreams of owning that one designer item in their wardrobe, but most of us can hardly afford the extravagant price tags so we turn to the trusted high-street for copies so we can have that little bit of luxury within budget.
When Diane Von Furstenberg debuted her Spring/Summer 2011 collection on the runways at New York Fashion Week, highstreet designers jumped on it straight away as it was such an easy collection to replicate. The collection led the way for the brave ‘colour blocking’ trend that is still huge at the moment and we saw flashes of purple, gold, black, white and lime in an array of patterns and blocks.
What caught our eye in particular was the fusing of coral and purple in hooded tops, maxi dresses and pencil skirts and we knew instantly that it would be easy to re-create. After Jessica Alba wore a custom Diane Von Furstenberg coral and purple maxi dress to the 2011 CFDA Awards, we knew we wanted a similar look.
Anyone can create this look either by customising or wearing seperate pieces together. We teamed a strapless purple maxi dress with a cropped, loose fitting coral blouse to re-create Jessica’s look. You can pair the dress with some casual gladiator sandals or go glam with some wedges and lots of jewellery.
