Light Up High Heels

No we’re not talking about those shoes you had when you were a kid that lit up red with every step you took, we’re talking about a much more fashionable sort of light up shoe

After our post on the light up dress, it is clear that ‘light up’ fashion is a huge trend.

Designed by sister team Rodarte, these three inch heels are not only extremely funky, but they also have an ambient glow within the heels which highlights the shoe’s texture and material. The shoes are a great example of how technology and fashion can work together.

Yeah I love them too! The ambient glow in the heel actually makes them look elegantly chic rather than tacky, however I wonder how much this trend will catch? I know that Jimmy Choo has also created some light up shoes costing about $2,000, but these one from Rodarte definitely look better!

They remind me of those trainers that would light up at the back, although as shoe gadgets go, I’m still really impressed by the Nike+ trainer sensor which records your running workouts. [...]
