Ideal Home Show 2010 Highlights
It’s about that time again when Spring comes and so does the Ideal Home Show. A time for renovation and re-decoration, treating your house, and yourself to something new.
Earl’s court can be a big place to attempt to find your way around, even with maps there is so much to look at we thought we would find some of the best picks for you to head right to first.
The following sections are available for your to browse around: Ideal Interiors, Ideal Home Improvements, Ideal Gardens, Ideal Home Gadgets, Ideal Food, Ideal Shopping and Ideal Woman. While it will be impossible to list every amazing stall I have found some of the best!
If you really love everything 50s and would love to turn your home into something from Grease, or if you would like a games room then you definitely need to stop by the Games Room Company on the ground floor. they stock everything from juke boxes (that hold either vinyl or CD’s so don’t worry) to old school arcade style games.
You can always stop by and have a go yourself on all of the games, even pool tables for those who prefer the hands-one approach. Don’t be fooled into thinking this is just a big place for boy’s toy’s, fill the juke boxes Abba, Blondie and Madonna and turn on one of the vintage popcorn machines and you’ll be in heaven!

If your always looking for a better hair straightener or curler then look no further. The best thing they have at the moment in terms of style is their Tattoo range. Designed by tattoo artists themselves they’ll certainly brighten up your dressing table. All of their products are Italian made and also give you free hair styling at any Herstlyer Salon. They also only go up to 200 degrees, so not to fry your hair, and a straightener from the Tourmaline range help get your hair extra shiny, they are also expertly designed to make straightening the back of your hair more easily. I know this may not sound incredible but it really does make a difference to the experience!
Sit down and they will treat you to a hair make-over with either a curler or straightener, and if you feel like you’d like to invest in some of these products then there are some great deals to be had here, you’ll be sure to find a product to suit your hair in all shapes, colours and sizes! Found in the Ideal Woman section upstairs.
Gardening may not instantly scream ‘style’ to you, but here it does! Throw in one of their gorgeous watering cans, or vintage outdoor clock with a railway feel to instantly give your garden a new lease of life. Gardening doesn’t have to instantly remind you of the allotments in Eastenders. here you can buy daisy patterned wheelbarrows, vintage looking garden furniture and even some surprisingly gorgeous cast-iron accessories.
Find them downstairs in the Ideal Gardens section.
Antique mirrors are something that just never goes out of style, we all used to wish we had a mirror like the one in Snow White, so Ayers & Graces is a great place to stop by to get your perfect mirror mirror on the wall. You can go as big as you want with these, and usually the bigger the better. Unlike cheap imitations these are the real deal and make a great feature or any living room or even just a luxury item for your bedroom! Find them on the ground floor in the Ideal Interiors section.
