Celebrity Style: Copy Cheryl Cole’s Mac Trend

The Brit Awards took place on February 16th, giving us another chance to catch a glimpse of the latest items our celebrities are wearing. Although Lady Gaga never fails to disappoint with her theatrical outfits, it was Cheryl Cole’s white and gold detailed mac that drew our attention.

The design is simple but very eye-catching because the silk material works well with the gold lining around the buttons, shoulders and tie belt. Now we wouldn’t recommend wearing your jacket with just a pair of skin tights, so why not pair it with dark skinny jeans or a pair of patterned leggings.
But we do agree with Cheryl for her choice of black ankle boots. These will compliment the mac and make a statement at the same time. So where can you get these striking macs from? The answer is easy. Your high-street stores of course!

Topshop have a cream frill front mac for £60. It also has a lining to it like Cheryl’s but with a blue floral design. Rolled up sleeves are definitely popular at the moment so the toll black sleeves with a pleat detail on this mac are a bonus. Plus it’s 100% cotton and light in weight, making it ideal for carrying around.
Also at £60, Dorothy Perkins has a stone zip front mac. It has a tie belt which adds a feminine touch to this unisex colour.
With a choice of the same mac in two colours, New Look has a frill collar belted coat at £30. It fits at waist length and is in a summer pink colour as well as white. The frill collar makes it the perfect jacket to complete an evening outfit.
