Grace Kelly Exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum

60179-large The spectacular wardrobe of the style icon of the 1950s will be on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, from April 17th – September 26th 2010.

Grace Kelly was the ultimate style icon and this exhibition will showcase her glamour and style as she lived her life as Hollywood’s most popular actress, moving on to become Princess Grace of Monaco.

The exhibition will be split into three sections; ‘The Actress,’ ‘The Bride’ and ‘The Princess,’ and will feature over 50 of Grace Kelly’s outfits alongside hats, jewellery and her famous Hermès Kelly bag. There will also be dresses from her most popular films, including ‘High Society’ and ‘Rear Window,’ as well as the gown she wore to accept her 1955 Oscar for Best Actress.

The exhibition will also include film clips, posters and photographs of Grace Kelly as well as her wedding dress worn for her civil marriage ceremony to Prince Rainier in 1956. Viewers will also be able to see 35 haute couture gowns from the 1960s and 70s, by her favourite designers; Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Yves St Laurent.
