The Royal Wedding: Kate Middleton’s Hair
Along with her stunning dress, Kate’s elegant hair style made her look every inch the blushing bride. Hair stylists to the stars, James Pryce and Richard Ward worked their magic on Kate’s luscious brown locks to create the perfect wedding hair style for the big day.Â
Delicately hidden under a classic chiffon veil, Kate’s hair was subtly curled into soft, tumbling ringlets in a half up/half down style. Neatly styled with a side parting, the top layer of hair was gently tucked behind the ears, allowing the shimmering tiara to take centre stage.
A statement on the Richard Ward website reveals,
“Catherine’s bridal look is called the ‘Demi Chignon’ – an up-do style which combines a classic bridal look with a regal, couture finish. The focus of the style was Catherine’s unique and individual halo style tiara, set just back from the hairline, which determined the finished look.”
It then goes on to say,
“Richard and James were extremely honoured and privileged to be involved with creating Catherine’s wedding look.”
We bet there will be queues forming at salons across the country tomorrow asking for Kate’s ‘Demi Chignon’ in the hope to recreate this simple yet sophisticated style.
What do you think of Kate’s bridal hair? Do you think she should have worn it differently?
