Deichmann’s Large Leather Shopper: For Day and Night
Recently, I got my hands on a gorgeous handbag from Halle Berry’s well-known 5th Avenue range for Deichmann. Here are my initial impressions and some ways I decided to wear my large shopper!
The bag itself is a very trendy tote with a colour-block design. The beige, tan and aqua colours work beautifully together as the splash of bright blue is just enough to ensure the bag is wearable and chic at the same time.
Other than the colours, the bag itself is simple and trusty. I love the white stitching around the frame of the bag and on the handles… it adds sophistication and really shows the work that’s gone into making it.
My favourite part about receiving the bag was touching it for the first time. It’s so incredibly soft! Softer than any handbag I’ve ever owned before. It’s made from soft leather so it’s sturdy enough to not worry about throwing in that copy of Vogue you wanted to read on the tube. As you also may have guessed, the handbag is very spacious but not hugely oversized… just right, in my opinion.
The handbag also has a zip feature which is such a big plus for me as I prefer to have peace of mind that everything in my bag is safely and securely tucked away.
Inside, there’s a zipped compartment to keep valuables like your phone and opposite, two other pockets. Plenty of space all round.
The Day Look
One of the best things about this bag is that you can wear it from day to night. There are so many different options you have because the colours are easy to work with. For the day, I wore a loose cream blouse with some light wash jeans and cream pumps with a gold metal butterfly. I added a spiky gold cuff to add some edge and a pair of sunglasses. Effortless and simple. The bag can really work well with a casual outfit like this for shopping or a lunch date.
The Evening Look
How can the same bag go from such a basic outfit to a dressy evening look? Well, without difficulty actually. Because the bag has a lovely splash of aqua, I decided to go for a classic black playsuit with some killer patent heels. Accessories were kept to a minimum because the bag does the talking! For dinner at a nice restaurant or even a trip to the bar with some girls, this bag gives a whole new meaning to “shopper”. It’s so versatile and easy-to-wear!
