Sometimes when celebrities get pregnant and attend red carpet events they usually don’t get their outfits right.  Some of them go for overflowing sacks which make them look huge and others go for dresses which are just too tight and unflattering.

With Jessica Alba, expecting her second child this year, we were excited to see what she could pull out from the bag when it came to her outfit.  Known for her timeless and classical styles, we weren’t surprised to see Jessica looking absolutely stunning in a metallic Ralph Lauren gown which showcased her expectant belly at the Met Ball.

Shoes are important to expectant mothers and the red carpet is no exception.  There is no doubt that you need some heels to let a long flowing gown fall well and compliment the figure, so instead of opting for stilletto heels, Jessica Alba has gone for some Casedei platform shoes so her weight is balance across her shoes.

To accessorize she held an matching Edie Parker bag, perfect for keeping all her essentials in.  Her hair can be described as edgy and textured and was loosely pinned in an up with a diamond inspired hair accessory.
