Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2013: Chanel’s Top 3 Best Dressed Celebrities

Yesterday, on the second of July, Chanel hosted their show at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2013. From among the parade of classic, quilted handbags, I choose my three best dressed celebs on the front row.

It was Chanel’s turn to play host to a star studded front row this yesterday, and it certainly did not disappoint. With some very well turned out guests making an appearance, it was quite tricky to choose the top three, but these fashionistas stood out from the crowd. With many iconic, quilted Chanel bags in attendance, it was how they added their own twist to the classic Chanel brand that made the difference.

3. Rose Byrne

American actress, Rose Byrne, looked stunning in a floor length, floral chiffon dress, creating a feminine, floaty look. The dress featured a fitted top which flared gently at the waist as well as bow detailing on the shoulders. She let the dress do the talking and kept accessories simple with some silver bracelets and a black, quilted clutch bag. Her make-up was flawlessly glamorous, with a hint of a smoky eye and a flash of dramatic red lipstick. The simple but elegant up do showcased this perfectly and a side-swept fringe softened the look.

2. Alexa Chung

F

Alexa channelled her iconic, unfussy look in a deep midnight blue velvet mini dress with black lace sleeves; a beautiful gothic design made to look so effortless by her messy up-do and flat pumps. The chunky straps across the shoes added an edge to an otherwise polished outfit. She finished her outfit off with a classic black, quilted Chanel handbag with chain strap slung over her shoulder: a regular feature of her outfits. If only I could have access to as many designer handbags as this lucky lady!

1. Rihanna

F

Out there singer Rihanna again showcased her daring fashion sense and unshakeable confidence (but then if I had her body I’d show it off too). She stood out from the crowd wearing an ankle length, off-white cardigan, buttoned to create a plunging neckline and thigh high split. With layers of strings of pearls, nude heels with a black toe cap, and cream Chanel quilted handbag, Rihanna championed the Chanel ladylike look but made it all her own. The neutral coloured outfit was offset by her almost auburn coloured hair which had been teased into sexy, tousled waves. This lady definitely knows how to vamp up any look, and she definitely injected some personality into the proceedings.
