Moises de la Renta, the New York based fashion designer and son of the legendary Oscar de la Renta, has designed a limited edition collection of t-shirts for Spanish fashion brand Mango.

The collection which will be called MDLR Moises de la Renta for Mango uses t-shirts that are reinterpreted in many different way. The t-shirts include embellishments with jewels and stones as well as graphical illusions, transparencies and patchwork effects.

The 25 year old is already an established designer and represents a blend of chic and New York cool styles. Michelle Obama was recently spotted wearing a dress from Moises’ Autumn 09 collection. His style is attenuated with a rock & roll sensibility, which the young designer gives his own personal creative interpretation.

Talking about the collection to Vogue, Moises said: “My inspirations for this collection were the traditional romantic themes.” “From pretty patchworks with summer flowers in sombre colours, such as rose, violet, grey and black, to graphic illusions which combine transparent effects, with shiny gems and adornments in between.”
