Jessica Simpson has been extremely busy lately, earlier this year it was revealed that the singer and actress would release a line of prom dresses for David’s Bridal. She’s also teamed up with her sister Ashlee to create a range of pre-teen clothing as an extension of the Jessica Simpson Collection and now she is set to create a line of fine jewellery.

This is a great move for someone who can often be seen decked out in lovely bling and the soon to be married singer wants to concentrate specifically on diamonds! In October 2011, Jessica will unveil the ‘Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend’ at Zales and Zales stores.

Speaking to WWD, the new jewellery designer said: “Jewelry is such personal expression of style and taste. This collection has allowed me to create pieces that truly reflect who I am, and that can become a keepsake for lifetime. The collection is beautifully crafted. The designs are airy and artistic and so easy to wear.”

Prices for the collection, which includes earrings, brooches, pendants and bracelets in gold, silver and diamonds, can be expected to start from $69 to $800, making some pieces extremely affordable for many. Jessica’s signature design includes a diamond studded, white gold pendant that is based on her handwriting and is priced at $199. Another popular design is a rose gold butterfly pendant, encrusted with diamonds that also retails at $199.

The collection includes many special pieces that will make gorgeous gifts for special occasions.
