Meet Kit, fashion blogger and our latest style crush. Kit is a freelance stylist living in London and in her spare time she writes the blog ‘Style Slicker’. Her blog is a must read, with tons of posts on everything from street style and events, to outfits and her own styling work. If you love eclectic fashion and whimsical styling, then this blog is for you!

Kit has challenged us to Style Clone an outfit she wore recently at London Fashion Week. Here is what she told us about this outfit:

“It was one of my most daring and favourite looks this season. I described the look as ‘Persian Doll with a twist of Japanese cuteness‘”

We love the mix of pastels and brights, and the floral prints make this look eye-catching yet feminine. The trousers give the outfit an edgy feel, and Kit’s personal little touches such as the tied sockettes at the ankles pulling the trouser hems in, make the look more individual and interesting.

Kit wears a scarf in her hair from Lousada Heyhoe, blouse by T.B.A, a floral blazer from Paul & Joe, Trousers by Elise Berger, Purple Tights from Falke, Sockettes from Tabio,  and ballet flats by Topshop. She carries a satchel and circle bag, both by MCM.

To recreate this look, start off with a pair of white loose fitting trousers. A peg leg shape is best, but don’t worry if they are losse at the hem, as you can tie them up as Kit has done. Next you will need a floral blouse in blue or lilac, preferably with bow detailing at the collar. If you can’t find one like this, simply use a brooch or pin with a bow design, or make your own from ribbon. On top of this, ass a floral blazer in a completely different colour and roll the sleeves up to give the look more of a Spring/Summer feel. Now for the accessories! Tie a printed scarf in the hair. Go for a similar floral print to that of the other items, but a slightly different colourway. Then add on some purple socks, and a pair of sockettes if you have some. Don’t worry if not.  Some simple ribbon should give the same effect round the ankles! Slip on some white ballet flats, carry a blue shoulder bag and a circle traveller bag, and there you have it – a cute Spring look to get you noticed!

If you like Kit’s fun and eclectic style, be sure to take a look at her blog for more looks like this!
