Debenhams Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook
I am very pleased to announce that Spring has indeed sprung. Finally! The sun is slowly peeking out from behind the thunderous looking clouds and if you stand in it’s rays, you’ll definitely feel a slight heat hitting you. Not only does this mean the days of wearing T-shirts, skirts and shorts are near-by, but it also means that the UK shops will be filling their shelves with their Spring/Summer ranges.
Popular British department store Debenhams have released their new Lookbook for Spring/Summer 2011 and it looks set to be an extremely stylish summer this year.
Not only does the British institution supply us with literally everything we need, but they also provide us with gorgeous ranges of clothing from a number of prestigious designers, including Jasper Conran, Betty Jackson, John Rocha, Julien Macdonald, Ben De Lisi and even Henry Holland.
It seems that Spring/Summer is all about simple dresses, clean cut blazers and delicate summer patterns. White is another Summer staple that can be worn with absolutely everything. The Broderie Shift Dress by Ben De Lisi, £55, is the perfect beach dress, teamed with sandals and an oversized hat, but it can also be dressed up with gorgeous heels and statement accessories.
Print dresses are always hugely popular in the Spring/Summer months. Henry Holland’s Cherry Print dress is a bargain at just £40. It’s a cute and feminine party dress that is still casual enough to wear everyday. Red Herring’s Stripe Dress is flirty and figure flattering thanks to the pulled in waist, fun pleated skirt and funky bright coloured stripes.
Betty Jackson’s clean cut blazer, £65, and shorts, £32, are the perfect combination for smart and sophisticated summer dressing, while Jasper Conran’s Pleated Maxi Dress, £80, is a fun and cheeky way to bring summer into your wardrobe. Why not try the Butterfly by Matthew Williamson ditsy print jumpsuit, £48, or the tiered chiffon dress by John Rocha, £90, for something more daring this Summer. The jumpsuit is a perfect alternative to summer dresses and the tiered chiffon dress is the perfect Summer party piece.
The Spring/Summer line of accessories range from beach friendly tote bags and gorgeous patterned cross-body bags to simple, yet elegant handbags. Brightly coloured and floral patterned shoes will complete any outfit and the cute jewellery ranges are simple, effective touches.
