2011 will forever be known as the year of the second biggest Royal wedding ever so it’s no surprise that fashion house Jaeger’s London designer Stuart Stockdale is inspired by Kensington Palace and the Duke of Windsor for his upcoming autumn/winter collection, which he will showcase at London Fashion Week.

Stockdale recently unveiled a sneak peek into the new collection, handing fashion magazine InStyle a drawing of one of his items.

The model in the drawing is seen wearing wide legged Houndstooth trousers with a printed top and sleeveless floor length coat. The designer went on to reveal his inspiration for the upcoming collection, saying: “Inspiration this season has been found in the depths of Kensington Palace’s archive and its fantastic legacy of past royalty and courtiers, including the Duke of Windsor’s wardrobe. The exquisite detailing, sartorial elegance and authenticity of these pieces are extracted and made modern. Building on Jaeger’s long-standing reputation, the great winter coat is central to the collection.”
