After the likes of Cheryl Cole and Beyonce were spotted in his dresses last year, the name David Koma quickly became extremely popular in the fashion world, and after becoming one of the recipients of Topshop‘s NewGen sponsorship scheme, it’s only right that he launch a capsule collection for the popular high street retailer.

High street fashionistas can now get their hands on a piece of designer wear from £100. Five individual pieces make up the designer’s capsule collection, which includes a metal-tube skirt, halter neck leather trim dress, low cut leather trim dress, long sleeved backless dress and metal-tube halter neck dress. The collection features Koma’s signature quirky style which has proved popular amongst a whole host of celebs.

Talking about the collection, Koma said: “Topshop signifies youth and modernity and its spirit evokes ‘cool London.’ It was really exciting to work with the Topshop team as I felt they understood me as a designer and appreciated my need to make a high quality product without compromising the design aesthetic, quality of fabric or finishing. They helped make my vision a reality and I’m thrilled with the result.”

The collection will go on sale on February 16th 2011 and is one of the most premium and limited edition collections that has ever been available via Topshop.
