Samantha Cameron leads fashionable charity walk
Samantha Cameron led the fashion pack on a 1 mile walk for charity earlier today dressed in a simple black Joseph suit, ‘Save The Children’ charity Tshirt and black and white 3 inch Topshop heels.
Some of the biggest names in fashion, including Christopher Bailey, Erdem Moralioglu, Sarah Burton and Christopher Kane, joined the Prime Minister’s wife, who is an ambassador for Save The Children charity. The mile long walk began at Downing Street where the group posed for photographs, and ended at Somerset House and aimed to raise money for health workers in developing countries. Dr Hajara Kera, a midwife based in Nigeria also joined the team and represented the charity that benefited from the event.
The charity aims to continue raising funds through sponsored ‘fashion walks’ and other events as part of their Born to Walk Tall campaign.
Samantha Cameron is also an ambassador for the British Fashion Council and since the walk, it has been revealed that the designers who took part have been nominated at this year’s British Fashion Awards, with the full list of nominations being announced later on today.
