Emeralds for Elephants collection at Selfridges

Eight highly sought after jewellery designers have been handpicked from around the globe to each create a unique piece of jewellery which will incorporate a Zambian emerald in aid of the ‘Emeralds for Elephants’ exhibition in Selfridge’s Wonder Room.

Shaun Leane, Theo Fennell, Dominic Jones, Gem Palace, Sevan Bicakci, Alessio Boschi, J.W. Currens and Francic Mertens have all designed pieces that will be on display until June 23rd and then auctioned at Sothebys with a percentage going to the World Land Trust’s Indian Elephant Corridor Project.

Actress and model Lily Cole is representing the campaign to save the protect the elephants. India’s farmlands and cities are rapidly expanding and so the Asian elephant is experiencing a loss of their natural habitat. The World Trust are working to protect the remaining elephants and their habitat’s through this campaign.
