Spring Style Trend 2010: Oxford Shoes – Fabulous Darrrrrrling

Submitted by on Thursday, 22 April 2010 | 3 Comments

Oxford is the new trend to hit the fashion world this spring. Oxford shoes that is. Rather than meaning the historic English town, the term ‘Oxford Shoe’ is instead used to describe the style that these footwear represent; dressy leather shoes often accompanied by encased lacing. The Oxford Shoes have been a fast growing trend both here in the UK and with our American counterparts.

They have really had a mixed reception by the fashion footwear world, but I have to say that I LOVE them! They are great for work, or just smart wear in general and mean that young women can look sophisticated without looking matronly.

They also come in a variety of styles to suit any tastes. There are the open-toe designs, the boots, the wedges and even cork-heels so they fit perfectly into any summer wardrobe.

So embrace the British Shoe culture and invest in some classic Oxford kicks.
