Everyone loves to see what the stars wear to big industry events and as the Grammy’s are the biggest music industry awards of them all, the outfits were bigger and better than ever, here are the best of the bunch.

Although Rihanna only wore this dress to the pre-Grammys party, we felt we needed to acknowledge it in all it’s glory as she absolutely stole the limelight in the best dressed stakes, she shook her tail feather in a gorgeous and certainly dramatic cocktail dress from the Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010 collection. The dress is full of ruffles in mint green, black, grey and pink. The dress totally stood out on the red carpet and Rihanna cleverly teamed it with mint green nail varnish and pink heels.

For the actual award ceremony, Rihanna toned it down a tad with a white Elie Saab frock which still had a touch of wackiness to it with it’s feathered collar.

Nude was a popular colour on the red carpet last night. Beyonce dressed in a very low cut Stephane Rolland gown, complete with a zip front while model Heidi Klum wore a similarly low cut nude frock.

Singer Katy Perry rocked up to the awards ceremony in a backless, floor length Zac Posen gown covered in gold flowers, accessorized with a Judith Leiber clutch bag.

Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Hudson both played it safe in black dresses. Nicole wore a Prada halter-neck satin gown which was embellished with jewels around the waist. Jennifer Hudson surprisingly wore a Victoria Beckham gown.

Not to be outdone by anyone, Lady Gaga paraded down the red carpet in a planet inspired lilac gown by Giorgio Armani Prive which she teamed with some equally outrageous heels. She certainly didn’t disappoint and the yellow hair worked quite well with the outfit.
