Lady Gaga Promotes her New Album ‘Applause’ in a Series of Outlandish Outfits
Lady Gaga has been spotted leaving her hotel in London in a series of outlandish outfits. Her new album ‘Applause’ is to be released on the 11th of November and Gaga is currently promoting it.
The public were shocked by Lady Gaga’s recent toned down looks: the minimal make-up, bleached eyebrows and more demure (for her) outfits rather than fancy dress. However, the singing and fashion sensation is back to her old self, sporting artistic costumes and couture designs and not to mention the downright painful looking, crippling instruments of torture that she sports as footwear.
Gaga wears a couture dress, which looks delicate as well as dramatic. A peep of towering platform can just be seen and the headdress and body paint adds to the strange image of her appearing like a mix between a piece of art and a crazy lady.
Gaga mourns the death of her dog in an all black ensemble featuring oversized black coat, long heeled boots along with a dramatic black hat and face mask.
After her dark look, Gaga brightened it up with a geisha inspired look, with large shell shaped umbrella, pristine make-up and hair and kimono. Also, LEGO SHOES. No-one but Gaga would think of this, but she appeared to be strapped into some towering wedges made of lego.
She gives her feet a break when leaving her hotel again with a simple white dress and bare feet. However, not one to leave it at that, she adds a smudge of white face and body paint to contrast with her dark hair for an ethereal look.
Gaga has said that fashion is her saviour from her darker past, stating:
“It’s how I deal with my insanity. From when I was young I had voices in my head, and for the longest time I was drinking and doing a lot of drugs, and it was the clothing and the artistry that saved me. I get sheer joy out of creativity, it’s like a psychedelic experience for me.”
Lady Gaga’s album ‘Applause’ will be available to buy and download on the 11th of November.
