Steal Her Style: Alexa Chung Launches Her New Book

Submitted by on Friday, 1 November 2013 | No Comment

Alexa Chung looks feminine and cool in this designer but vintage inspired dress with collar and cuffs detail by Valentino, fresh off the runway. StyleClone shows how you can steal her style.

It seems that this gorgeous dress was completely made for Alexa Chung. She wore the designer creation to the New York party for her book launch, ‘It’. The book features photos, doodles and musings from the model/muse/style icons’s life, a life many women are clamouring to lead (muse of Karl Lagerfeld? Yes please…).

'It By Alexa Chung' - Book Launch

The intricate floral pattern and scalloped hemline are very pretty and girly, but with the contrasting white collar and cuffs and super short style, Alexa looks quirky and keeps the look young. Her long long legs look even longer in opaque black tights and black, block heeled shoes for a retro touch. The black nail varnish, messy, centre parted up-do and low key make-up complete Alexa’s signature grungy style. Now all you need is your very own self penned book and you’ve nailed it…

Here’s how to steal Alexa’s style:

Steal Her Style: Alexa Chung

Dress: Topshop, £36 – £18

Shoes: Asos, £35

Shirt: Own the Runway, £18.99

Ring: River Island, £10

Tights: New Look, £4.99

Nail Varnish: Barry M, £3.99

This dress is from Topshop and features a similar intricate floral pattern for a vintage feel. Wear with this white shirt from Own the Runway underneath to add some depth and an interesting touch, the gold collar tips are an extra little detail. These shoes from Asos offer the chunky block heel that Alexa sports with tassel detail to the front.

For the finishing touches, these opaque tights from New Look are not too thick or thin to flatter you for a night out. This ring from River Island will stand out against the fussy print of the dress with it’s chunky design. The black Barry M nail varnish (available from superdrug) will tie the rest of the look together and keep the look from being too girly.

What do you think of Alexa’s look?
