New York Fashion Week 2013: Top 5 Celebrity Style Sightings
It’s that time of year again, where the worlds fashionistas flock to the Big Apple for New York Fashion Week. The toast of the fashion world are showing their Spring/Summer 2014 lines and we’ve so far seen offerings including Muccia Prada headed Italian line Mui Mui to American designer Alexander Wang who took to the runway to show off their latest designs.
Undeniably where there is fashion there are celebrities and a variety of famous faces have graced the coveted front rows to get an up close and personal look at next seasons biggest trends. But who have been the top celebrity spots over the week and more importantly, what were they wearing?
Former Spice Girl turned fashion designer, Victoria Beckham has been photographed multiple times over the week out and about in the city and dashing to and from shows. The British designer who showed her own collection at NYFW has been seen sporting a variety of her own designs and has even been spotted on the front row alongside footballer husband David and adorable mini fashionista daughter Harper. David Beckham has been seen taking over babysitting duties over the week by taking Harper to a playground in the city while her fashionable mummy worked to promote her new range.
Georgia May Jagger
Fellow Brit, model and face of Rimmel London make-up Georgia May Jagger has been spotted in a floor sweeping, backless silver gown at an event sponsored by sunglass retailer Sunglasses Hut. The model who is the daughter of Rolling Stones legend Mick Jagger was also spotted hanging out with fellow Stones offspring Theodora Richards, daughter of music icon Keith Richards who opted for a sequinned gold dress teamed with statement red ankle boots.
Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted out and about between shows showing off her amazing figure in a simple but revealing black vest with dropped arm holes and super skinny black jeans. The look was a typical ‘model off duty’ look but showed her famous Victorias Secret body off to perfection.
Formidable fashion powerhouse and editor in chief of American Vogue, Anna Wintour is a familiar face on the front rows and has as expected been spotted multiple times around the city wearing a patterned dress and her trademark blonde bob. At one point the editor, who was reportedly the inspiration for The Devil Wears Prada’s Miranda Priestly character, was seen on the front row, happily chatting away to Harper Beckham as they waited for the beginning of a show. The cute toddler is even reported to have tempted a smile out of the usually stony faced Wintour, it must be that British charm!
R&B megastar Nicki Minaj was seen sporting one of her trademark fashion forward ensembles in a patterned monochrome dress with cut out neckline, faux fur shoulders and what appeared to be an attached leather harness. Her usually long peroxide blonde locks were gone in favour of a very retro style pin curled bob, which combined with her infamous curves created a slight 50’s effect.
