Keeping Up With The Kardashians is Ending: Rumour or Reality?
A close source to the Kardashian clan has created speculation that the biggest reality TV franchise is about to end…
“It has been the biggest reality franchise of all-time. Both Kim and Kris want to make sure they end on a high note, leaving fans wanting more, rather than try and stretch the show on for another few seasons and watch it die a death. Plus, they are now moving on in their lives … exploring new options and opportunities,” says the mysterious source.
So is this really the end of E!’s best show? I don’t think so. Regardless of the source’s claims, the facts state that the Kardashian/Jenner clan negotiated a $40 million deal to renew their show for another three seasons. That means that we probably won’t have to worry about having no juicy shows to watch until 2015 arrives.
Truth to the Rumour?
In spite of this, it wouldn’t be a surprise if some of the Kardashians wanted a change in direction. After all, Kim recently gave birth to little North West (debate about the name all you like) and is settling down with Kanye West. If you’re an avid fan of the show like me and can’t miss a single episode, then you might have noticed Kanye’s appearances on the show are little to none. After a controversial episode where Kanye tells Kim to get rid of most of her wardrobe in exchange for items hand-picked by him, he received a lot of criticism.
He told the New York Times, “That was from a place of love. It’s hard when people read things in a lot of different ways. You know, the amount of backlash I got from it is when I decided to not be on the show anymore. And it’s not that I have an issue with the show; I just have an issue with the amount of backlash that I get.”
The World Can’t Stop Watching!
I do hope that Keeping Up With The Kardashians sticks around for a good while. From season 1, we’ve seen all the drama and scandal you can possibly imagine, from Kim finding out about her leaked sex tape, to her infamous 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries, to the birth of Kourtney’s children and of course, the jet-set holidays which always result in a fierce argument.
The deal signed is the highest paid when it comes to reality TV and it includes the spinoffs Khloe & Lamar, Kourtney & Kim Take New York and Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. Plenty of Kardashian action to go around! Fear not StyleClone readers, I don’t think we’ll be seeing the end of Kim’s shopping tantrums and Khloe’s unfiltered jokes just yet!
