Her Majesty leads the fashion pack at Diamond Jubilee celebrations

Although all eyes might have been on Kate Middleton, Her Majesty the Queen was the leader of the fashion pack at the Diamond Jubilee celebrations on London’s Thames river.

While she isn’t the most obvious fashion icon, the Queen appeared on the Royal River Barge looking demure in an Ivory dress and coat.

There had been speculation surrounding the Queen’s chosen outfit for weeks, and she certainly made the right choice as she shone among the other Royals on the boat.

The coat and dress, designed by Angela Kelly, were both made of wool which quite obviously came in handy for the Queen as she stood outside in the cold weather for a solid 5 hours. The coat included tiny boucle detail and a single organza frill and the Queen accessorised with a broad brimmed white hat complete with hand dyed feathers.

She also wore what must have been extremely comfortable David Hyatt 2 ¼ inch heels and one of her signature handbags.

What do you think of the Queen’s Jubilee outfit?
