Anne Hathaway is the new face of Tod’s Signature Collection
Anne Hathaway has come a long way since her geeky Princess Diaries days. The young actress is now a Hollywood starlet and causes a flutter wherever she goes. The hottest directors want her in their films and the biggest designers want to dress her for red carpet events. What more could a girl want? Maybe a go at modelling as well? Well, it was only a matter of time before Anne became the face of a luxury brand and it has just been revealed that the girl has more than just acting talent under her belt as she appears as the face of luxury brand Tods.
The ‘One Day’ star can now be seen sprawled across a red car bonnet for Tod’s ‘signature collection’ advertising campaign, shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. The ‘signature collection’ targets a younger audience and consists of bags with leather stamped pebble motif that are inspired by TOD’s Gommino driving shoes and come in a range of ‘strong, decisive tones’ such as deep reds, electric blue and fuchsia to name a few.
Talking about the collaboration with Anne, Tods creative director, Derek Lam said: “What makes this collaboration with Anne so perfect is that not only is she a young actress with accomplished roles to her credit, she is also one to watch for her creative choices. She generates excitement based on the quality of her work, modern beauty and intelligence.”
The campaign will debut in fashion magazines across the globe from October 2011.
