Being only 5 ft 2 inches, I have been noticing of late how the fashion and style world celebrates the catwalks with tall ladies but overlooks the smaller petite frame.

However I am not going to go into a rant but today someone told me that most tall people are successful and short people aren’t taken seriously!  Well, I completely disagree!  A shorter, petite lady has just as much power as a taller one and this is why I have decided to dedicate this feature to all those gorgeous petite successful celebrity ladies, who have managed to overcome the stigma of being a height which is unheard and overlooked!

1. Mila Kunis @ 5 ft 2 inches

Since her role as the dark temptress in the Black Swan, Mila Kunis has won the hearts of many adorning fans. Ladies love her for her gorgeous dark looks and stylish fashion sense and the men are memorised by her beauty. However, this petite lady has certainly got everything jam packed into that small package…looks, style and personality.  She is already hitting the headlines for her star qualities and I predict that Mila will be making waves as a Hollywood success in the next few years so watch this space.

2. Hilary Duff  @ 5 ft 1 inch

At the age of only 23 Hilary Duff has certainly made a success of her career and personal life. She became a hit Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire and since then her career has flourished. As well as acting, she is an acclaimed singer and has sold over 13 million records worldwide. As well as being a successful career lady she announced recently that her and her husband are expecting their first child.

3. Shakira  @ 5 ft 2 inches

Shakira is a Colombian singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, dancer, and philanthropist. This Latin lovely is known for her amazing voice and dancing skills and took the world by storm when she released her hit single, Hip Don’t Lie! There have been a discrepancies regarding her height and many have even suggested that she is shorter than the 5 ft category, however whatever her height, she is certainly one petite nutcacker as she has taken the world by storm as a Latin goddess…

4. Reese Witherspoon @ 5 ft 2 inches

Reese Witherspoon has always been one of my favourite celebrities. I remember back in ‘Legally Blonde’. Now many may critisise her for playing this role but this light hearted movie is certainly the ultimate chick flick. Her style on the red carpet always gets our thumbs up for complimenting her gorgeous figure and we love her look off the red carpet as she sports a more casual, relaxed look.

5. Missy Elliott @ 5 ft 1 inch

Missy Elliot is the only female rapper to have six albums certified platinum. Warped by a difficult childhood, she is a true inspiration to all the ladies out there that against all odds you can be successful. At a tiny 5.1 Missy Elliott has struggled with her weight however her unique style and looks is what we love about her.
