Popular online retailer, ASOS has cleverly fused fashion and music and come up with their new ‘ASOS Meets…’ series where they chat to top bands about their music and fashion style and influences. After the popular first installment of ASOS Meets…, it’s time for round two, featuring Alice Gold, The Naked & Famous and Ed Sheeran who have all played at this years popular iTunes festival.

First up is Alice Gold, a women that oozes style. The talented songstress says she is a huge fan of vintage and loves London’s Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane and can often be found shopping there. She also claims that life experiences and her personal style has even inspired her music and the way it is written.

For a band it might be more difficult to fuse fashion with your musical style as The Naked & Famous are keen for fans to be inspired by only the music instead of what they’re wearing on stage. The band are happiest when they’re in their most comfortable on-stage clothes but they do appreciate the importance of fashion in music situations and they’re well aware of what is going on in the fashion world. The two male members of the group like to stick to a ‘French style’ which consists of a scruffy hair cut and a casual open shirt. The band’s fashion mantra is simply…’keep things simple.’

Ed Sheeran’s take on fashion is to grab whatever he can find in his rucksack after spending the night on a sofa after a gig. Ed has his own comfortable sense of style that he feels fits in with his music perfectly.

ASOS are really getting into the nitty gritty concerning music and fashion and have been talking to some truly inspirational artists that inspire not only with their music, but the sense of style that goes with it too. As a company that has their finger on the fashion pulse, the ASOS Meets…series is a great way for fashion lovers to see how popular trends work with their favourite bands.
