Not only is Karl Lagerfeld in charge of one of the biggest fashion houses in the world, but he’s also the king of collaborations and capsule collections, which is a great relief for those of us who can’t afford the likes of Chanel.

More recently, the king of fashion has teamed up with Diet Coke to launch a limited edition collection of Coke bottles in cool pinks and whites as part of the ‘Love it Light’ campaign. He has also brought fashion to the world of ice cream after teaming up with popular brand, Magnum, where he designed a chocolate room, complete with chocolate model!

Now he has joined forces with prestigious US department store Macy’s to bring fashion lovers an affordable capsule collection.

The ‘Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse’ collection will consist of 45 different pieces such as statement jackets and tops in pinks, blacks and greys. Prices will average at around $100 each and will go on sale on August 31 at selected Macy’s stores and Macys.com.

Talking at the launch party to WWD, Lagerfeld commented on the new collection, saying: “To work with the Macy’s team was very pleasant. It’s the perfect department store in the U.S, where everyone can find what they’re looking for without ruining their budget.”
