Pretty Little Things: John Greed Jewellery
I am a self-confessed magpie, drawn to jewellery and trinkets to the point where my jewellery box is overflowing, but a little more can’t hurt right?
John Greed Jewellery are stockists for popular luxury jewellery brand Pandora, who specialise in unique charm bracelets. John Greed have taken this whimsical design edge to their own brand in the more affordable Summer and Vintage collections.
I bought three pieces from their website: two bracelets and a necklace, which were really easy to order and turned up on the doormat two days later. The really handy thing about their delivery service is, if the order is small enough, they will flat pack it to fit through the letterbox. Making jewellery this easy to buy is dangerous…
I chose these two bracelets as casual pieces I can wear day to day. They tie up nice and tight which is necessary for my skinny wrists, and have a little bit of glitz on the spiritual emblems to make them stand out. On the red bracelet is the Hand of Hamsa, and on the black the symbol of the Eye, which are both supposed to ward off bad fortune and offer protection. Very handy when you’re ass clumsy as me.
These bracelets do have a summery feel, so I gave them their first outing on a trip to the riverside with the sun beaming down, with some coloured denim shorts and straw hat.
The necklace I bought, however, was a vintage inspired design, which looked really pretty and stands out again against plain clothing.
I wore this necklace on a night out for drinks with a cream blouse with black detailing and a maroon chiffon skirt with black loafer style shoes. The gold and turquoise stood out against the cream blouse and made a perfect piece of pretty statement jewellery and a staple for dressing up during the summer.
Are you in love with this jewellery as much as me? Well, watch this space as we will be running a giveway on StyleClone to win some John Greed goodies soon…
